Do you ever feel like the holiday season is a catch 22? Twinkling lights, Christmas tree lots and magical window displays are everywhere. But underneath all that sparkle, we’re often stretched thin—caught in the space between what we think the season should be and what it often is: a major holiday hustle.
Good news: self-care doesn’t need to be an hour-long bath or a perfectly curated morning routine. It can be as simple as a deep breath before heading out the door, savoring every bite of that holiday cookie, or a quiet “no, thank you” to an invitation that feels more like pressure than excitement.
This season, let’s go all out: Let’s not just give love. Let’s receive it. From ourselves. Permission granted to pause, linger, and just be. Your to-do list will wait, I promise!
Here’s to a holiday season that feels good for you. Just because You Deserve It.

Choose Those who Choose You Back.
Holidays can be tough for me. My family isn’t always the warm, cozy picture the world seems to expect this time of year. My mom, aunts and daughter are all in different states, and I choose not to interact with my dad. I’m not even going to get started on the judgment I feel when I share this with others.
What I’ve learned is that family doesn’t have to be who you were born to. It’s who you choose, and who chooses you back. It’s the friend who drops off homemade deviled eggs when they can’t join your Friendsgiving. The friend that sends encouraging texts daily - and doesn’t get upset when you don’t respond because you’re overwhelmed. It’s the people who show up for you, no matter what.
The love you deserve is out there, often in the places you least expect it.

Self-Care Made Simple
OWN IT
Don't skip you this holiday season. Here are some suggestions you can do in a jiff that will have a big impact on your well-being.
Reflect
Consider one of your biggest challenges during the holidays. Imagine your bestie tells you she has this exact challenge. What advice would you give her?
Journal
Grab a paper and pen, and find a quiet, cozy spot. Recall a favorite holiday memory. Write about the experience with as much detail as possible. Relive those feel-good emotions all over again.
Share
Call someone you care deeply about and tell them exactly how you feel. Be specific, vulnerable and allow yourself to get wrapped up in all the feels.
Move
Bundle up and head somewhere you can see trees, plants and the sky. Walk for 15 minutes, engaging your senses by naming what you see, hear, and smell, and focusing on the ground beneath your feet.

Chasing the View
We're updating the deck's railing to reveal more of the forest, allowing for an even closer connection with nature. And as the cold sets in, we’ll keep you cozy. We're heating the deck, setting out warming throws and making a hot cup of tea.
Stay awhile.

Last Words
Remember the holiday season is a time to reconnect—whether with friends, family, or your own heart. Take a moment to pause, reflect, and remind yourself what really matters. Don’t put it off. This is your life, the only one you get. Show yourself the kindness and care you give to others. You deserve it; I’m certain. Thank you for being part of my journey.
Love You.
